Katherine's education and training includes the completion of her Certificate IV in Pilates Instruction, as well as Certification in each of the Pilates disciplines of Studio, Mat and Allegro. Katherine is also an educator and mentor for the highly regarded international Pilates education provider, Polestar Pilates. Katherine enjoys mentoring students and contributing to their skills as instructors. She sees mentoring as a way of improving consistency and quality amongst instructors in the Pilates industry. With a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Physiology, and a background in ballet and dance, Katherine is passionate about the way that the Pilates Method blends the discipline, control and creativity of ballet with a solid foundation of science and movement. Katherine has a strong commitment to continue gathering knowledge and experience in the Pilates field. When working with clients, what Katherine enjoys most is seeing the benefits and improved performance that they receive from their regular Pilates sessions - better general health, more energy and enhanced well being. |
